Medical mission 2023 is in the books ! Thank you for helping Medical Volunteers Organization with this most recent medical mission to Rusizi District (May 04 - 07, 2023) at Gihundwe District hospital,Mibilizi Hospital and Rusizi Impinganzima Residence . Your contribution to this past medical trip helped us make it a big success.
Our relatively small team of Medical specialist performed 623 consultations in 3 days .

This was one of our regular community outreaches as per our work plan . This outreach was carried out in partnership with MINIBUMWE ,RUSIZI District, KING FAISAL Hospital ,AVEGA Agahozo , Rwanda standards Board (RSB),PRISMA Ltd, TECOS ltd , Gihundwe District Hospital and Mibilizi Hospital .
The targeted beneficiaries of this medical outreach was AVEGA members and their dependents including Intwaza (Elder widows Genocide survivors),they are within the average range of 55 – 99 years. This category of elderly people usually has deteriorating health conditions and chronic medical conditions, in addition, for some as a result of the Genocide have permanent injuries and scarring, all which require constant special care unique to senior citizen.
Intwaza have access to primary health care services delivered by a health facility within their residence at Impinganzima .
The previous activities proved that medical outreach can be the best way to reduce the gap in delivering quality specialized medical services to the community, especially the vulnerable group of people.
